About Jessica Sloan

I believe that therapy is about helping individuals better understand themselves, their values, and how they can live meaningful lives in the midst of life's challenges and hardships. The therapeutic relationship enables a safe place for individuals to explore difficult internal experiences and relationship patterns, and choose how to respond in ways that are consistent with their values. It is a privilege to hold space for others to gain insight into their own experience and choose the kind of person they want to be in the world.

I offer individual psychotherapy via telehealth for those living anywhere in Colorado, New York, or any PSYPACT approved state (please click here for a list of PSYPACT approved states). I am an out-of-network provider.

Please feel free to reach out to me to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can discuss your needs and goals and discover if we might be a good fit to work together.

What is Health Psychology?

Health psychology is a specialty area of psychology that focuses on the intersection between psychological and biological factors. Health psychology focuses on promoting overall health and wellbeing, considering each person’s experience holistically. This may include learning behavioral strategies to manage medical symptoms, such as chronic pain or insomnia, processing emotions that arise related to chronic illness or disability, increasing motivation to engage in healthy behaviors, and/or learning the ways in which each part of a person's experience interacts with one another.

Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider, which means that I do not work directly with insurance companies, but I can provide you with an invoice for therapy sessions. You may then be able to receive reimbursement from your insurance company. Please contact your insurance company to determine your eligibility and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

My approach to therapy is person-centered, integrative, and considers the whole person.
